Dr. Rahardhika Utama is a sociologist specializing in comparative-historical research of development, with a PhD from Northwestern University. Currently serving as a researcher at the Atma Jaya Institute for Advanced Research (IFAR Atma Jaya) and a visiting scholar at the Equality Development and Globalization Studies (EDGS) at Northwestern, Dr. Utama's research focuses on solving real-world problems in areas such as comparative development, corruption, bureaucracy and politics, social policy and inequality, and social determinants of health.

His dissertation, titled "Embedded Peasantry and Economic Transformation in the Asian Rubber Belt," investigates the variation of development among agrarian economies of Southeast Asia. Supported by programs such as the Arryman Program, Southeast Asia Research Group (SEAREG), Buffett Institute for Global Affairs, and the American Indonesian Cultural and Educational Foundation (AICEF), Dr. Utama's work sheds light on the structural and institutional roots of diverging development paths in the region.

• n 2020, Fajar earned his Ph.D. from the Department of Political Science at Northwestern University, with a dissertation titled "The Path to Preemption: The Politics of Indonesian Student Movements during the Regime Transition, 1998-1999." Following his doctoral studies, he served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Universitas Gadjah Mada and later became a Research Fellow at the Equality Development and Globalization Studies (EDGS) at Northwestern University.
• Currently, he holds the position of Research Fellow at the Institute for Advanced Research at the Catholic University Atma Jaya of Indonesia (IFAR-Atma Jaya).
• Fajar completed his Ph.D. in the Political Science Department at Northwestern University, where he focused his dissertation on "The Politics of Indonesian Student Movements During the 1998-1999 Regime Transition." After obtaining his doctorate, he took on a role as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Universitas Gadjah Mada and later joined the Equality Development and Globalization Studies (EDGS) at Northwestern University as a Research Fellow.
• With a comprehensive educational background, Fajar holds a Ph.D. in Comparative Politics from Northwestern, along with Master's degrees from both Northwestern and Erasmus University. He also earned his Bachelor's degree from the University of Indonesia.
• Previous employment includes a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Gadjah Mada from 2020-2022. The research interests are primarily in democratization, state formation, social movements, and youth activism.
• Current works in progress and publications cover topics like Indonesian student movements and Islamization in Indonesia. Fajar has also presented at several conferences and written articles for major newspapers on topics related to politics and social issues.
• Grants and scholarships have been received from institutions such as Northwestern University and the Indonesian Scholarship and Research Support Foundation.

• Norman Joshua holds a Ph.D. and an M.A. in History from Northwestern University, as well as a S.Hum in History from the University of Indonesia. Currently serving as a Shorenstein Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford University, he has also been a Visiting Research Fellow at multiple prestigious institutions.
• His research is diverse but centers on the militarization of society in Indonesia from 1930-1966, the history of petroleum labor in the Netherlands East Indies, and the role of the Indonesian Socialist Youth during the Indonesian National Revolution.
• He has a strong publication record, featuring multiple peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. Joshua has also been an active presenter at various international academic conferences. In addition to his academic contributions, he has authored op-eds and made significant contributions to the Indonesian Historical Encyclopedia. His scholarly work has been recognized with several awards and grants, including the Hoover Institution Silas Palmer Grant and the H.F. Guggenheim Foundation Emerging Scholars Award.
